LEADERS IN EXECUTIVE COACHING

March 2006 sees the formal establishment of Praesta International Limited (PIL). Partner Robin Linnecar explains the rationale for PIL:

“We’ve been working with overseas affiliates for a number of years, but the time is now right to consolidate these relationships. Praesta has a unique service offering and we want to capitalise on this via the development of a recognised international brand: the first initiative of its kind in the executive coaching sector.

“Many of Praesta’s clients are global businesses who, unsurprisingly, see coaching as a global issue. They need to be confident that all members of our world-wide network provide a seamless, high quality service. The establishment of PIL is a natural response to this demand.”

PIL is, deliberately, not a ‘hub and spoke’ operation: Praesta UK will be an equal member of a genuinely international group. That said, the UK firm will continue to provide training for PIL member firms and accreditation via membership of the European Mentoring & Coaching Council, the industry’s ethical and professional standards body.

PIL currently comprises Praesta operations in the UK, France, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Spain, Turkey and South Africa. Praesta also has affiliates in the USA and Singapore who, although trained by Praesta, will retain their own names for the time being. Aside from building the Praesta brand, PIL has two specific objectives as it goes forward: establishing a Praesta presence in the USA and in China.
