In an increasingly pressurised world it is particularly isolated operating at senior levels in an organisation. As a coach, I help my clients to think through their business and personal strategies and to be at their most effective more of the time in leading their Boards, organisations and teams.

Coaching Experience

My purpose in coaching is to help senior leaders play at the top of their game; to maximize their effectiveness with their organisation. Sometimes ways of thinking get in the way; sometimes particular behaviours may be counter-productive. Sometimes it is the space to step back and reflect with a challenging but supportive sounding board that helps most. I generally find myself working in some mixture of all these areas with most of my clients.

I seek to help my clients learn more about themselves, as well as to acquire a greater tool-kit of approaches.

I have a strong analytical and logical training, together with a breadth of business and organisational structure experience. I combine my broad intellectual curiosity with a strong sense of values. I enjoy helping clients unravel complex business problems and issues as well as working together on complicated and difficult interpersonal relationships.

I bring to my coaching a strong belief that everyone wants to be at their best and that everyone can learn and grow at any stage of their career, although I recognise (from personal experience also) that change is not always easy. I believe that people are at their best and happiest when they are authentically themselves, and that everyone has within themselves most of the solutions to their own problems.

A number of my clients ask me to work with them together with their Boards and executive teams, either to review effectiveness, to facilitate challenging discussions or as a team coach.
